The Botanist No. 2!!

After the huge success of The Botanist, Alderley Edge our client Living Ventures was keen to get us started on The Botonist number two!! This is going to be located in a new build shopping Center in Leeds.

Due to Christmas coming up very soon everyone at Paul danson imagineering have been working to an almost impossible deadline. But finally we got the drawing package complete a ready to go out to tender.

Now the race is on to get all our manufacturers up to speed on the scheme so they can get started on producing our spectacular bespoke furniture/lighting/steelwork etc.

We are also trying to source as many props as possible before Christmas, as there's only a couple of weeks before we start work on site after.

Like for the Botanist AE we have visited our favourite prop shop HomeBarn in Little Marlow. Below is a glimpse of some of the great things we found.......

Finally What You All Have Been Waiting For...

The Botanist, Alderley Edge opened Tuesday 2nd October.

We set out to produce an interior offer not catered for in the village of Alderley Edge and lay to lie the ghost of the old No15.

Everything you can see and touch is bespoke, all the timber is hand picked from reclaimed timber yards, the metal work has been designed and produced specifically for the project. All the light fittings are unique and carefully designed emulating a botanical twist.
Even the tables and chairs are all refurbished and individually commissioned for the project.
An intimate feel has been created with props and stunning hand crafted botany cabinets which are filled with interesting antique props from a bygone era. You can see old botany books, original testing equipment and watering cans, it’s almost educational!

The Botanist can be described as proper pub with a twist and a pinch of humour.

The Botonist Spectacular Lighting

Today on site the first lighting circuit was switched on....and it looked great!!
Below shows the feature chandelier which hangs in the main bar area. It is made from an ancient waggon wheel, spruced up with some blingey glass items to give it Alderley Edge approval.

For the main restaurant area we chose to have illuminated ceiling coffers....

And for the amazing conservatory area/old granddad’s shed we had to create something very interesting....

Our Great Metal Work Artist!

Paul Danson Imagineering, have been privileged to have found Italian metal work genius Enzo Ferro. He works from a little shed in Bolton and hand sculpts out of steel practically anything you could imagine.
His fabulous craftsmanship put together with our team of imagineers and anything is possible. We have got him making life-size cockerels to floral decorative wrought iron balustrades which look like they have been reclaimed from Provence.

It is nothing like what he is used to making but Enzo has fully grasped what we are trying to achieve and has embraced our design ideas.

Full steam ahead at 'The Botanist at No. 15'

Following the the success of The Oast House, Paul Danson Imagineering has teamed up with  Living Ventures 'New World pub company' again this time taking the quaint quirky style to the suburban village of Alderley Edge.

The designers have completed the designs and the pressure is on to perform and create something just as magical with the new venue 'The Botanist'.

Building work is well on its way with interior cladding beginning, floor boards being laid and all stud walls being erected.

Work has also begun at the rear of the building where we are going to create something very spectacular……you will have to wait see....

Sourcing roadtrip to Little Marlow

All drawings for The No. 15, The Botanist went out to tender last Monday and so it is now time to do all the fun stuff! We took a trip to Homebarn in Little Marlow. Hombarn is an amazing 17th century tithe barn filled with sourced vintage furniture and accessories with an eclectic mix of industrial, reclaimed, antique and retro. Below are a few pictures of some of the great things we found for 'The Botanist'
